Needed …more soft skills in the workplace

SoftSkills graphicA great many executives (92%) admit that the  gap is not so much in technical skills but in softer skills where their workforce is not  savvy enough with emotional intelligence, problem solving and communication skills.  One of the reasons for this is higher education where institutions are under pressure to produce graduates with hard skills in various disciplines as engineering, IT and finance. It’s difficult to conceive that such professions can survive without mental agility to problem solve, understand corporate nuances and cultural norms.

So the time has come for an overhaul in higher education and workplace training programs that provide coaching and mentoring programs to guide graduates through the softer side of business success.
